Grant Funding for Urban and Community Forestry

Urban and Community Forestry Assistance Challenge Grant Program
A cooperative program between the USDA Forest Service and the Mississippi Forestry Commission. The purpose of the program is to aid in long-term, self-sustaining urban and community forestry programs. Funds may provide up to 50% of total project cost to eligible applicants.

Transportation Enhancement Tree Planting Program
A statewide initiative to plant trees for the purpose of enhancing transportation. The program is administered by the Mississippi Forestry Commission with financial support from Mississippi Department of Transportation. Funds are provided on a 75% federal/ 25% local matching basis to eligible applicants.
